Dial-A-Story

Dial-A-Story is a collaboration between Penguin Group (Australia)and Melbourne-based experiential digital agency Sandpit.

DIAL-A-STORY is a fun, interactive storytelling experience. Its unique multi-platform concept features a real-world Penguin Phone Booth and an online story archive.

Penguin authors share their own personal, intimate stories with you – and you share your own stories in return.

The specially crafted Penguin Phone Booths will be placed in various locations around Australia. Participants can dial one of five authors – John Safran, Jamie Durie, Graeme Base, Maggie Beer or Father Bob Maguire – and hear an intimate story from the author’s own life. These are never-before-heard stories that give a unique glimpse into these five authors’ lives.

The authors then invite you to leave your own message. By sharing a story from your own life, you join an ever-growing online archive of wonderful Australian stories.
